CCTV Surveys

Dear residents,

I am writing to let you know that Brick By Brick have commissioned Sumo Services, utility mapping surveyors, to undertake CCTV drain surveys in various locations across New Addington. They are due to be starting on site from 3rd August and will be undertaking the surveys over a period of approximately 4 weeks. The works are not expected to be disruptive in any way and working hours will be from 8:30am until 4:30pm on weekdays. Manholes will need to be opened but these will be guarded and attended to at all times. There will be no road or garage closures although there may be occasions where garage access might be restricted for a few minutes at a time. We apologise, in advance, for any inconvenience that might be caused by this and Sumo Services will do all they can to avoid this where possible.

Brick By Brick planning application for new homes in King Henry's Drive and Gascoigne Road

We are writing to remind you that Brick By Brick has recently submitted a planning application to the Council in respect of proposals for new homes. We hope that you are all well and keeping safe at this time.

We acknowledge that development is not always popular with local people, however, with an ongoing housing crisis and the need for more homes of all tenures across the borough, it is essential.

The proposals can be viewed and commented on through the public access register www.croydon.gov.uk/onlineplans , by selecting 'Planning Register' and entering reference 20/01521/FUL

We aim to deliver leaflets with this information to residents within 100m of the site as soon as practically possible.

A summary of changes to the proposals since the public exhibition in January is as follows:

  • The scheme proposes 23 apartments with 8 parking spaces
  • 39 long stay and 2 short stay cycle spaces provided
  • New landscaping and refuse storage proposed for the new and existing housing block
  • Windows and balconies have been aligned to avoid direct overlooking to the neighbouring properties

    Brick By Brick proposals for new homes - deadline for comments extended to 7th February

    Thank you for registering your interest. Public events to show proposals for new homes were held on Saturday 18th January and Thursday 23rd January. You can view the information displayed at these events by clicking on the 'have your say' button' on this website https://kinghenrysandgascoigne.commonplace.is/

    Please note that the deadline for comments to be received has been extended to 4pm on Friday 7th February 2020. You can still view the proposals after this date and contact us by emailing info@wearebrickbybrick.com

    Brick By Brick will review all the comments received, and where appropriate, we will work with the project teams to make amendments to the development proposals where it is feasible to do so, before submitting a planning application. We will post a news update if we submit a planning application and there will then be a further opportunity to review the plans and formally comment to the council as the Local Planning Authority via the council’s website https://publicaccess3.croydon.gov.uk/online-applications
